To celebrate our new partnership with Auriens Chelsea students from the ENBS Graduate Artists Programme were invited to perform for residents as part of their Christmas Festivities. We were honoured to present a beautifully curated festive performance choreographed by ENBS Artistic Director, Lynne Charles.
Auriens residents were treated to a sparkling selection of iconic ballet moments: the ethereal Finger and Lilac Fairies as well as Aurora’s solo from The Sleeping Beauty, the vibrant Russian Dance and grand pas de deux from The Nutcracker. The evening was wrapped in a magical Nutcracker theme, brought to life by beloved characters including the Prince, King Rat, and of course, Clara herself, creating an atmosphere of wonder perfectly suited to the season. Engaging with this repertoire allowed our students to deepen their understanding of high level technique while developing their artistry, and at the same time experiencing the joy ballet brings to so many.
The beautiful environment and atmosphere Auriens created for our students both on and off stage set the scene for an unforgettable evening. The stunning lounge and piano bar were transformed into a dressing room and the stately lobby a wonderful stage.
“I can’t remember the last time an event created such a palpable sense of excitement at Auriens. The choreography, the dancers, and the costumes were extraordinary, and the interaction between the students and our residents made the day truly memorable.
We received an outpouring of positive feedback, marking a remarkable launch to an exciting new partnership that people have been talking about ever since” – William Harding, General Manager Auriens Chelsea
Our students were honoured to present this performance for Auriens Chelsea and to share their dedication, passion and joy with such a grateful audience.
