2026 Summer Performance: Steps Toward Tomorrow

English National Ballet School’s Summer Performance 2026 brings together an exciting and varied programme of classical and contemporary works, showcasing the artistry, creativity and versatility of the next generation of dancers.

This year’s performance features a rich array of choreography created for students across all years of training, celebrating both the technical excellence and artistic individuality nurtured at ENBS.

The programme includes WIGU, or When I Grow Up, a semi-fairytale exploration of childhood, identity and the journey into adulthood, created especially for First Year students. Inspired by the music of Satie and brought to life through a vibrant world of costumes and characters, the work captures the imagination, curiosity and spirit of youth.

Audiences will also experience a new contemporary work by Martha Graham teacher Sarah Sulemanji, created for the Second Year students. Drawing on Graham technique and contemporary movement, the piece further expands the dancers’ expressive and artistic range.

Inspired by Greek mythology and Beethoven’s symphonies, Before Jupiter by Juan Eymar explores themes of masculinity, identity and self-discovery through a powerful all-male work created for the Third Year men.

For the Second and Third Year female students, The Blue Danube, set to the music of Johan Strauss II, evokes the romance and grandeur of a moonlit ballroom, celebrating the elegance, refinement and beauty of classical Viennese style.

The programme also introduces the work of emerging choreographer Liam Blair, who has created a new contemporary piece especially for the Third Year students, offering a fresh and dynamic addition to the evening.

The Summer Performance reflects ENBS’s commitment to preparing young dancers for the professional stage, providing audiences with the opportunity to experience the creativity, collaboration and future of ballet, performed by some of the most exciting young artists in training today.

2026 Graduation Ceremony

A ceremony to celebrate the graduates of English National Ballet School will be held on July 11th 2026 at 7pm following the final performance. Please note this ceremony is for family, friends and guardians of our 2026 Graduates.
