We offer a range of Intensive Courses throughout the year for aspiring young dancers. The courses provide a range of opportunities to young dancers wishing to enter professional training, ranging from three day Spring and Autumn Intensives to four week Summer Intensive Courses. Run by our very own world class teaching faculty, this is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience first hand what it is like to train at English National Ballet School.

Spring 'Swan Lake' Intensive
Held during the February half-term our Spring Intensive is for students aged 13-17 years old.
Taught by the ENBS faculty, students will have the opportunity to attend three days of training at our School in Chelsea. The course is designed to give students a taster of life at English National Ballet School. Students will participate in daily ballet classes, contemporary, and choreography sessions, as well as repertoire and variations classes featuring iconic excerpts from Swan Lake. This timeless masterpiece, with music by Tchaikovsky and choreography inspired by the classical works of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, is celebrated for its elegance, emotional depth, and technical demands. Students will learn the enchanting Dance of the Four Little Swans and the Waltz of the Swans from Act II.
On the final day, students will be coached on how to prepare for auditions, they’ll experience an audition-based class with a Q&A for students to ask questions about the School.
Accommodation
The Spring Intensive Courses are non-residential and so students are responsible for securing their own accommodation. The Course will take place at English National Ballet School’s main premises, Carlyle Building, Hortensia Road, Chelsea, London, SW10 0QS

Designed for passionate young dancers, this unforgettable day offers the chance to:
- Learn iconic repertoire from My First: Swan Lake in a professional ballet school setting, guided by expert teachers.
- Attend a stunning performance of My First: Swan Lake produced by the English National Ballet and performed by ENBS graduating students at the Peacock Theatre, London.
- Enjoy a rare opportunity to meet the performers and gain insights into the life of a professional dancer.
Immerse yourself in the elegance and artistry of one of ballet’s most beloved classics. Whether you’re an aspiring professional or simply love to dance, this experience will inspire and enchant!

Summer Intensive
Are you an aspiring professional dancer? Spend summer 2025 at English National Ballet School
Experience life as a pre-professional dancer at ENBS, studying with the School’s own expert staff, as well as invited guest teachers.
Students will enjoy daily ballet class, learn notable repertoire essential to all dancers’ portfolios, take contemporary, as well as take part in workshops and a Q&A session.
Course Information
Our Summer Intensive Courses are designed to give young aspiring dancers a taste of professional studies at English National Ballet School. Taught by a world class faculty of teachers, including our current ENBS staff, students will have the opportunity to attend two or four weeks of training at our School in Chelsea. Students will follow a timetable reflective of full-time training at the School, preparing them for life as a versatile pre- professional dancer.

The Summer Intensive Courses are non-residential and so students are responsible for securing their own accommodation. The Course will take place at English National Ballet School’s main premises, Carlyle Building, Hortensia Road, Chelsea, London, SW10 0QS.

- Intensive Course 1: Monday 21 July – Saturday 2 August 2025, there will be no classes scheduled over the middle weekend (26 & 27 July 2025).
- Intensive Course 2: Monday 4 – Saturday 16 August 2025, there will be no classes scheduled over the middle weekend (9 & 10 August 2025).
If accepted, students will have the opportunity to attend either one or both Intensive Courses.
Application Guidelines
Students must be aged between 13 - 17 years, 11 months on 31 August 2025 or in the equivalent of Years 8-12 in the UK 2024- 2025 academic year.

Autumn Intensive 2025
Held during the October half-term our Autumn Intensive is for students aged 14-17 years old.
Our theme for this year's Autumn Intensive is Nutcracker; taught by ENBS' faculty, students will have the opportunity to attend three days of training at our School in Chelsea. Expect a focus on character classes, performing in costume, and pointe. The course is designed to give students a taster of life at English National Ballet School and students will participate in daily ballet classes, repertoire and/or variations classes, and choreography.
On the final day, students will be coached on how to prepare for auditions, they’ll experience an audition-based class and there will be a brief Q&A for students to ask questions about the School.

Boys Experience Day
English National Ballet School held its first Boys Experience Day in January 2024, which gave male dancers in Years 10-13 the chance to experience our training methods, take part in a mix of ballet classes, classical repertoire and contemporary, and learn more about training at ENBS from current students and parents.
