Associates & Intensives Auditions
Audition for Associates and Intensives
English National Ballet School is dedicated to training the next generation of exceptional ballet dancers. Each year, we welcome talented young artists from across the globe to audition. Our auditions are designed to recognise potential as well as ability, giving dancers the opportunity to demonstrate their technique, artistry, musicality, and passion for dance. With in-person, video, and auditions via photographs, available, we aim to make the process accessible to aspiring students.
Overview
Choose the route that suits your goals and stage of training. Our Associates programme supports developing dancers alongside their current studies, while our Intensives (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Easter) offer focused training blocks with ENBS faculty.
How to Apply
- Complete the online application form (Associates or selected Intensive).
- Upload required materials (photographs and/or video links, as specified below).
- Pay the application fee (see Fees).
- You will receive confirmation of submission after the application deadline due to high volumes.
Associates
Application Route
- Preliminary selection is by photographs
- Final audition is by invitation to an in-person ballet class at ENBS
Final Audition Guideline
- 60-minute ballet class
- Panel will be members of the ENBS Artistic Team
Eligibility
- Age: 12–16 (as of 1 September 2026)
- Training level: RAD Grade 3, Intermediate
What to Submit (Preliminary)
- Photographs (see example)
- Please compile required photographs on one landscape PDF or DOCX page using our template.
Fees
Associate application fee is £40.
Results
- Applicants will be notified within 14 days of their preliminary outcome.
- All decisions are final and at the discretion of the Artistic Team.
- Feedback is not provided.
Intensives
Spring & Summer
- Eligibility: 13–17
- Training level: typically RAD Grade 3–Intermediate (or equivalent)
What to Submit
A video which must include the following:
- Set Ballet Exercises (See links below)
Please upload each video to YouTube as an ‘Unlisted Video’. You will be required to include the YouTube links to each video within your application form.
Fees
Sumer application fee is £35.
Autumn & Easter Intensives
- Eligibility: 13–17
- Level: Any level or ability
- Submission: No in-person auditions; selection from photographs
- Upload per ENBS template; all images on one landscape page
Results (all Intensives)
- Applicants will be notified within 14 days of their preliminary outcome.
- All decisions are final; no feedback provided.

Video (Spring & Summer Intensives)
- Follow video examples
- Upload to YouTube as unlisted links and paste URLs into your application.
Accessibility & Important Notes
- We aim to make auditions accessible: preliminary by photographs or video, with no travel required at the first stage.
- Due to high volumes, confirmation of application submission (photographs and fees) will be made after the application deadline.
- Ensure all files are labelled SURNAME_FIRSTNAME_PROGRAMME.
