Jung Ah Choi
Born in Seoul, Korea, Jung Ah Choi trained at The Royal Ballet School under Patricia Linton, Dianne Van Schoor, and Hope Keelan, The Bolshoi Ballet School with Irina Urivna Sirona, and English National Ballet School with Josephine Holling. She joined English National Ballet in 2006 and was promoted to First Artist in 2017.
Her repertoire includes Myrtha in Mary Skeaping’s Giselle; Lescaut’s Mistress in Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon; Stepsister Edwina and Spring Fairy in Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella; Spanish, Lead Snowflake, and Lead Flower in Wayne Eagling’s Nutcracker; Odalisque in Anna-Marie Holmes’s Le Corsaire; and the Ratchuli in Tamara Rojo’s Raymonda. Her contemporary repertoire includes works by Aszure Barton, Kenneth MacMillan, and William Forsythe.
