The Role: Chair of the Board

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Chair to lead the Board of Trustees and support the School through its next phase of strategic development.

Working closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership team, the Chair will:

  • Provide strong, strategic and inclusive leadership to the Board and Executive team
  • Ensure robust governance, financial oversight, and compliance
  • Act as an ambassador for ENBS across the arts, education, and philanthropic sectors

This is a pivotal leadership role for an individual passionate about education, the performing arts, and nurturing young talent.

Board & Development Board Opportunities

Alongside the Chair role, we welcome applications from individuals interested in joining the Board of Trustees and/or the Development Board. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

  • Fundraising and philanthropy
  • Education specifically the HE sector
  • Vocational dance training
  • Education, safeguarding, and youth development
  • Marketing, communications, and digital strategy

We are committed to building a diverse and representative Board and strongly encourage applications from individuals currently underrepresented in arts governance.
