A graduate of the English National Ballet School, Harvey Littlefield, First Artist with the Scottish Ballet, has established themselves proudly in their home city of Glasgow. A versatile dancer their repertoire spans an impressive range of voices and styles, performing works by some of the most influential choreographers in the world, including Christopher Hampson, Peter Darrell, Jiří Kylián, Helen Pickett, David Dawson, George Balanchine, and Natalia Makarova.

Known for their emotional depth and striking stage presence, they continue to evolve as an artist, most recently originating the role of Young Queen Elizabeth in Mary Queen of Scots, a new creation by Sophie Laplane. 

As a non-binary dancer navigating the traditions of the ballet world, they bring both authenticity and quiet defiance to their work, challenging conventions while honouring the art form’s legacy. Their artistry is rooted in fluidity, individuality, and a fearless commitment to expression, positioning them as part of a new generation reshaping the future of ballet. 

Their advice to students at the school would be that “The power you possess comes in many different forms. Embrace them all and embrace being the most authentic version of yourself. Don’t ever soften your spirit because others say you’re ‘too much’.”
