Summer Intensive 2025

Join us for a transformative Summer Ballet Intensive designed to prepare you for professional auditions and a future in a company. 

Guided by our esteemed Artistic Director, Lynne Charles, you'll master the exclusive 4Pointe Method, a unique approach that blends strength, technique, and artistry. This comprehensive program will be split into: 

Course 1 Young Students Guide to Classical Repertoire:
Monday 28th July – Saturday 9th August 2025, there will be no classes scheduled over the middle weekend (26 & 27 July 2025).  Master the timeless elegance of classical ballet through in-depth repertoire studies led by our expert artistic team. Perfect your technique, musicality, and storytelling with guidance tailored to young dancers.

Course 2 Neo-Classical Contemporary Repertoire
Monday 11th – Saturday 23rd August 2025, there will be no classes scheduled over the middle weekend (9 & 10 August 2025).   Explore the dynamic world of neo-classical and contemporary ballet with inspiring instruction that challenges your creativity and versatility. Learn how to blend classical foundations with modern movement to shine in today’s evolving dance landscape. 

The intensive includes pointe work with Lynne Charles, focusing on refining technique, precision, and performance quality. Students will also develop essential partnering skills through Pas de Deux training and enhance their artistry by learning repertoire and variations taught by our esteemed artistic team. Additionally, a special guest lecturer will introduce the Horton Technique, a dynamic modern dance style designed to broaden versatility and complement classical training. 

Taught by a world class faculty of teachers, including our current ENBS staff, students will have the opportunity to attend two or four weeks of training at our School in Chelsea. Students will follow a timetable reflective of full-time training at the School, preparing them for life as a versatile pre-professional dancer. 

Accommodation
The Summer Intensive Courses are non-residential and so students are responsible for securing their own accommodation. Please see our accommodation guide here

The Course will take place at English National Ballet School’s main premises, Carlyle Building, Hortensia Road, Chelsea, London, SW10 0QS.

Who should apply? 

Students must be aged between 13-18 years or in the equivalent of Years 8-12 in the UK 2024- 2025 academic year. 

Placements on the Summer Intensive are open to students at RAD intermediate level of training, or equivalent. 

If accepted, students will have the opportunity to attend either one or both Intensive Courses.
