Jane Hackett MA, ARAD, FRSA DIRECTOR

Jane trained at the Royal Ballet School and subsequently danced and choreographed with ballet companies in England, Germany, Austria, Italy and Mexico. She has danced a varied repertoire including the Classics, works by Balanchine and numerous new works.

After a period of teaching, she led the Education Departments at Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet and also researched and implemented the Royal Ballet's training scheme for talented young dancers. Whilst Head of Education for BRB, she initiated the Dancers Degree Course. Jane holds an MA in Ballet Studies, has been a member of the inspection team for the Council for Dance Education and Training, an adjudicator and adviser for LEA discretionary Grants and has received funding to research dance training and selection methods in the US and Cuba.

Jane is committed to ensuring that all aspects of the school maintain the highest standards and that each student should have careful guidance and every possible opportunity to fulfill their potential.
