We are delighted to welcome Taina Morales to our teaching faculty this week. Taina joins us from L’École supérieure de ballet du Québec in Canada and will be teaching ballet to our second year women. Taina graduated from the Cuban National Ballet School and joined the Corps de Ballet at Cuban National Ballet. She danced with the company for ten years during which time she became a Principal. She then went on to dance with Compañía Nacional de Danza and Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet performing classical and neo-classical repertoire in internationally renowned theatres around the world.
As a ballet mistress, she has worked with students from junior to senior levels and has coached them for performances in international competitions and galas. She has also coached dancers at professional and Principal levels. In 2014 she won the Outstanding Teacher Award at the YAGP European semi-finals.
Carlos Valcárcel, Director of Dance designate said “I am very excited to welcome Taina Morales as 2nd year Women's Tutor. Ms. Morales brings extensive experience in training young generation of dancers. Her addition to the staff marks an exciting new chapter for the school”.
