Five Minutes with.... Lana

Third year student Lana tells us about life at ENBS.
 
Why did I choose ENBS?
 
Ever since I was a child I have always wanted to pursue dance professionally. I love all dance styles and believe dancers should be versatile. Knowing ballet is a good foundation for anything my future might hold, I decided to enroll into a vocational ballet school. That way it will prepare me for my future in dance.
 
What have I enjoyed most about studying at ENBS?
 
I would have to say I love the quality of teaching and level of professionalism we are taught at a young age. I feel like I am pushed to do my best everyday and have the privilege to do what I love most every day. I get to share this passion with my classmates who have become my family in the past two years. 
 
I have also been fortunate enough to experience some incredible performance opportunities my favorite being when I performed my own solo that I choreographed at Sadler's Wells. It was such a memorable experience, and I am so grateful to have had that opportunity.
 
What challenges have I overcome during your time at ENBS?
 
I believe moving abroad at 16 was quite difficult. The student support team helped me feel welcome and made this transition easier for me. 
 
What are my hopes for when you graduate?
 
I just want to keep dancing and sharing my passion with others. As audition year is upon us I will do my best and try to aim for my dreams. But as we all know life can be unpredictable so I just hope my third year here is filled with unforgettable memories. With all the auditions we get to travel around the world which I cannot wait for.
