Summer Course

Our Summer Courses are designed to give young dancers a taste of student life at English National Ballet School. Taught by our highly experienced teaching staff, the timetable offers a variety of classes including:

  • Daily ballet class
  • Boys only classes
  • Pointe work
  • Coaching
  • Repertoire
  • Pas de Deux (A Course only)
  • Body Conditioning (A Course only)
  • Contemporary
  • Character
  • Master Class with guest artist (A Course only)

Different repertoire is taught on each week of the course, and performed to friends and family on the last day. 

Dates

Summer A   (Ages 15–19)
Week 1: 17 – 21 July 

Week 2:  24 – 28 July 

Summer B   (Ages 11–14)
Week 1: 31 July – 4 August  

Week 2: 7 – 11 August

Applicants are welcome to apply for either one week or both weeks of either course.

Cost and payment

Summer Course A: £395 per wekk, or £735 for two weeks

Summer Course B: £375 per week, or £720 for two weeks

No payment is required during the application process. Should you be selected to attend the course, we will then request payment in order to confirm your place.

Entry Requirements

We request that applicants have reached Intermediate Foundation level or equivalent (if studying syllabus work). Female applicants must have completed at least one year of pointework.

Applicants will receive a reply from us within four weeks of the above deadlines.

Photographs

You must include a passport sized photograph and the following three 6 x 4"photographs with your completed application form:

Dégagé in 2nd position

1st arabesque en l’air

Demi-plié in 1st position

Please wear appropriate ballet attire (tights, leotard, flat shoes). Photographs must be pasted on the reverse of your application form.
