Course
Central to the course is daily ballet class; in addition, students study pointe work, character, virtuosity, pas de deux, repertoire and variations, choreography, contemporary, and specialist coaching and individual training sessions. Students also study dance history, Benesh notation, music and anatomy. There are also opportunities to work with guest teachers and participate in workshops in different dance forms throughout the year. In addition, we regularly welcome renowned national and international Artistic Directors to visit and observe our students.
Our training and curriculum concentrate on the technique and style of dancing required by both English National Ballet and other companies around the world. We pride ourselves on producing strong, individual dancers who embrace artistry, musicality, and versatility. We also offer a structured choreographic course with esteemed performance opportunities.
The Pilates method of body conditioning, upper body strength training and floor barre, are all taught to help students understand their own individual physique. These core disciplines are supported by a programme of physical fitness.
