Programme Details

Following its successful launch last year English National Ballet School's Associate Programme returns!

Who is it for?

Designed for pre-vocational dancers who wish to further their weekly training alongside their regular classes. This exciting new programme gives talented young dancers the opportunity to experience training at English National Ballet School and prepare them for full-time vocational education.

Students should be between 14 years – 15 years, 11 months on 31 August 2022 or in UK School Years 10 and 11 in 2022-2023.

The Programme

Classes take place on Saturdays from September from July with 32 sessions over the year. Each session lasts for 2 hours, 15 mins and includes body conditioning, barre, centre, allegro, pointe work and repertoire. Classes are designed to be small, with a maximum of 15 students per class so the teacher can provide tailored individual feedback.

Personal Development and Progression

Students are set aims to work on each term and encouraged to keep a reflective diary to assist in monitoring their own progress. Students and parents/guardians will be provided with written reports at the end of the autumn and spring terms. There will be a formal assessment in the summer term, which will be observed by our Senior School faculty, following which the students will receive verbal and written feedback.

Classes are taught by ex-professional dancer and highly experienced teacher Pippa Newton. Students will also have the opportunity to be taught by guest teachers including the full-time English National Ballet School Faculty throughout the year.
