Performance Opportunities
You will have opportunities within the curriculum to showcase your dance abilities to audiences and directors in the UK and abroad.
Our close links with English National Ballet offers professional performance opportunities with the company. In recent years our students have performed in Cinderella, The Snow Queen, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake in prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the London Coliseum.
We produce public performances involving the entire student body twice a year at Christmas in our studio theatre and in the Summer at a prestigious London venue where you, alongside your fellow students, have the opportunity to work with internationally renowned choreographers, perform in some of the great ballets by Fredrick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan.
Where appropriate, students also go abroad to perform and enter prestigious competitions such as the Prix de Lausanne and the Young British Dancer of the Year. In 2010 ENBS had considerable success at the Prix de Lausanne competition in Switzerland, with the School being represented by four male students from the 2nd Year. 85 dancers from around the world were selected to compete. Of these, just 20 made it through to the final, and three of those were ENBS students. This a real credit to our students and their hard work and to our exceptional staff and their world class teaching.
